Pathology

Introduction

The Department of pathology came into existence in year 2022 headed byAsso. Prof. Dr HanishChawda .The classes for undergraduates students were held in GMC KORBA building & laboratory facilities were started in D H Hospital. The department undertakes laboratory investigations of the out door as well as indoor patients of 100 bed DH Hospital,Korba along with running a well equipedl Blood Bank.

Facilities

Cytology
FNAC done for indoor as well as outdoor patients,including USG & Guided FNAC and also fluid cytology.
Clinical Pathology &Haematology
Routine Investigations of the patients including Bone marrow Examination is being done.
Special Instruments Available Here Are
Automated haematology analyzer with 3 parameters,,Electrophoresis.On an average 500 Investigations are carried out per day.
Blood Bank
completely equipped with all facilities for issue of whole Blood. Voluntary Blood Donation camps are held from time to time .1st Oct. is observed as national Voluntary Blood Donation Day.14th June. is observed as World Blood donor day.
